If aliens do come down then they may not have any interest in us. If they can travel throughout space, down to our planet then they are very advanced. We would simply be like ants, or small rodents to them; insignificant.
Unless our planet has resources they need, they probably would not disturb us.

If oil runs out in the entire Earth, except for in Australia then we would probably think about invading Australia for the survival of America. However, if the area with oil was not Australia, but Canada...Then we'd go to Canada.
Now apply this analogy to aliens&resources and realize that unless Earth has something they need, we're safe.

If they came to Earth, they would be highly intellegent, so they would have advanced weaponry. so he could do some damage, but we would have no chance at all

...How on earth can this even be debated? We have no idea if there are aliens and even if there is, we have no idea what they are like, whether they are civilized on hungry killers intent on causing havoc.

There are Aliens. We are selfish to think we are the only people here.

We can only hope when we get visitors from another planet that we the human race and welcome them peacefully and the aliens have no intention of messing with this planet.


But I'm sure anyone able to advance space travel is a united race and would view us as idiots who fight endlessly among each other.

If Aliens do visit this planet, the governments would be SO stupid. We would treat the Aliens like prisoners. Has anyone seen District 9? That movie is a good example of how it would go. But we would have a war after.

I think they wouldn't randomly come to visit us unless they want something or their planet is destroyed. XD

Not really, if i said there was a spagheti monster, you wouldn't believe that. We have no proof that aliens exist, it's certainly a good chance there are but without proof, there is no way of saying there are.

I don't think that aliens might be there as I have never seen them and anyone can prepare some kind of robot and say its a alien. So it is a very very rare case that aliens may be there.

We aliens could always be so disgusted with the wars on Earth that we just show up, you know.

There's many reason why aliens would invade:
Land, fusion power from water (the planet is practically covered with it) or simply for mining it bare.

Well, it makes sense as humans back then weren't particularly smart so, they could see some random alien as some godlike being who has descended down in some spaceship.
