What was the absolutely best game you've ever played and why?

Mine would have to be Kid Icarus Uprising. It has a nice storyline. You're able to play over 25 intense chapters with bosses waiting at the end of the chapter. Even though you mainly play as Pit, you also get opportunity's to play as different characters! For those who haven't already bought this game, you should really go check it out!

I could go on about how great this game is but... then this would be over a page long, so I'll save you the trouble.

I would probably say that Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition, that's just a fantastic game. Leon Kennedy is one of my favourite gaming characters. :)

Black Ops Wii or the MW3 Wii Campaign

I would say perfect dark 64, it was just all the round fun game.

Certainly a great game, you can't get bored of it. I prefer it to Goldeneye, even though they are both great.

I really love Harvest Moon, despite how it can easily cause me to feel bored. It's my first RPG and I have so much fun playing as a farmer building my life there.

I also love Kingdom Hearts series. Great plot, great characters, and great music. Nice battle system too. I just love it so much. XD

I have always wanted to play a Harvest moon game, i should play the 3DS game.

Harvest Moon is a nice game. Repetitive, indeed, but it offers a fun gameplay and many options for you to explore. Harvest Moon: Save the Homeland for PS2 offers 9 different endings! Do give it a try if you can, one of the best RPG this series is. XD

Not really into videogames :3 but the best so far has been Twilight Princess. Although I have seen some pretty "not so popular ones" like limbo (my avatar )

I heard that was a great game to play. I never played it, only Skyward sword. Is twilight princess for 3DS?

Suikoden II is my all time favorite; I played it when I was younger. I still play it to this day, along with the other suikoden games.
It was such a fun and memorable game to me, it is what immersed me into the RPG world. I learned about things I hadn't known before and it opened me to a brand new world I hadn't known existed; it has also introduced me to some of my favorite characters of all time.

I can't just chalk it down to one game. There are several games that were just...amazing. The "Legend of Kain" series (group of PS1&2 games), has by far one of the best plots a series could have, in my opinion.

There is also Xenosaga I & III (the second one failed epically, to me), which had wonderful character design and development. The characters were all memorable and there wasn't just a plot for this series--there were more, underlying, representational meanings. Deep meanings. I loved every moment of it.

Two other PS1 RPG's that I'd highly recommend are "Legend of Mana" and "Legend of Dragoon," as they both have really great character, plot, and gameplay combinations and were overall a delight to play and complete.

To speak of more up-to-date games, I'd have to suggest either the "Uncharted" series or the "Mass Effect" series, because they both have amazing character development and design, really fun plots, and breath-taking graphics. Love these games a lot, so yeah, definitely check out any of these games if you haven't played them. ^.^
