Earlier this year I finally made the switch to an SSD over the traditional hard drive. It was a pricy decision but in the end I felt the performance boost was worth it if you have the cash to spare. It's definitely a luxury component, but with the rising prices of hard drives it may be becoming more of an option in the future.

I don't know what SSD's are but it sounds important! I should read more about this

Well, with memristors coming out soon (2014) which are said to be significantly faster than flash memory, it would make SSDs redundant so, I'm currently waiting for those to come out.
