This anime essentially is about how a genius finds a supernatural notebook with the power to kill anyone who's name is written in it which was dropped by an extradimensional being known as a shinigami (a god of death) intentionally in order to deal with his boredom in the shinigami realm.

The genius known as Light Yagami takes it upon himself in order to punish criminals in order to create an ideal world of his and so, the story begins..

I thought it was a good anime, I prefer Code Geass though.

One of my ex's told me about this show and it looked pretty good but, I haven't found the time to watch it yet. I will probably end up watching it sometime this year(maybe).
