I've been hearing that astronauts were having their muscles generally becoming weaker and so forth due to staying years aboard the international spaceship due to the tiny gravity in space.

This could very well impact long journeys in space such as to the outer solar system while the gravity of places such as Mars and the Moon have gravity which is a third and a sixth of that on Earth so, it would probably take a while for humanity to adapt to such areas.

What are your thoughts on this?

Well I didn't know anything about gravity straining your muscles and cause you to become weaker till now. But I did read somewhere that Astronauts have to work out to stay in shape in space. Guess that's where Dragonball Z got the idea from, huh..

That's probably one technique which the astronauts use to help to counter it although, extended periods in no gravity seems to deteriorate the bones and muscles.

One solution would be artificial gravity but, that involves spinning the spaceship around which isn't currently too feasible to my knowledge or real gravity but, that would involve carrying an incredibly heavy mass around in the spaceship.
