The music industry got blown up with pirates when they moved to the tech realm (iTunes, streaming sites, etc) instead of sticking solely to records, CDs, etc.

Now, with books moving to the tech realm too...Do you think it will be heavily affected by piracy and online stealing? Or do you think it will be sheltered and preserved?

I think the sailboats have come already, conquered, and will sustain their positions in the book markets for as long as people want to read (eternity).

What do you think?

I have noticed books being pirated quite often now with e-books coming out.. I think libraries should have an option to check out e-books from the online site. (My old library does this so, I use my card to read the E-books... It is quite handy).

I know books have become more and more pirated but I honestly think they won't go as far as the music and movies.
