1.Starts off in Highschool.

2.Boy likes girl.

3.Girl likes popular guy

4.Boy gets girl

5.Breast exposure

6.Butt exposure

7.Blood

8.Deaths

9.Fighting

10.Boy saves world or someone.

Woopdeedoo. Once you think about it. Anime gets stale after you watch a few shows. @_@ <_<

The only anime I've seen so far was Marmalade Boy which had all but, 8 happen. I kind of want to watch Death Note but, I am not a big Anime person.

I have seen the 4kids dubbed one.... bad idea since 4kids dubs aren't to be trusted!
I'll probably read the manga from scratch or watch the subs and start over.
My favorite characters are Nami and Zoro.

I'm adding more to my post! I still watch anime, I find it more entertaining than most American shows. I especially love fantasy and action, which isn't something that most American shows have.... except for maybe Warehouse 13 and Supernatural.
Although, responding towards your post Leo. I've found that Anime does tend to be geared towards heterosexual men; there is so much female exposure... but never male exposure, unless it is a yaoi. It's a really rude double standard that actually happens in really anything related to TV.

This post made my day. Anime rules! *hi5*

Leo, I think you make things a bit too simple. Anime may indeed have those points you mentioned, but what matters from anime, drama, film, and all other kind of movies is not WHAT happened in the end but HOW. That's why I watch it, I don't with others. XD

There are many awesome anime out there. From the point of plot, to seiyuu (the voice actors), to the music. Some are done brilliantly, some are very disappointing. Sounds to me that you haven't found what you like. Wink

I couldn't remember how I started watching anime, but I just saw it once on TV, liked it ever since, and have become its great fan since I found internet. And always will be. ^___^

Right now watching Sword Art Online (SAO) and Hyouka. Great anime, and still on-going. Highly suggested.

Nice! I highly suggest to start watching them. Since they are still on-going, the tension feels even better, LOL~

SAO seems like very popular, from its light novel to its anime. Well, though so far SAO's plot is moving slowly, as if the anime only show fillers, I enjoyed it still. Very Happy

Sorry I missed this post!

Yeah, I've heard of .HACK before. Seems to be quite interesting, will check it when I have time. Man, my to-watch list is growing so big! XD

Hyouka turns into some kind of detective story, in which we follow a journey of four students in a club working to solve one mystery to another. Quite a fun one, I think, although the beginning was rather slow.

Now watching Fate/Zero. What a very dark anime. Who still watches Anime? 1371890812

That might have something to do with there being very few anime out of the total number which are actually somewhat decent.
Most of them just tend to be the producers milking viewers for money although, there are some decent ones every season or so.

I like Hyouka as well, I stopped watching it though because I want to wait until it's finished. Because when I started it, I was watching episodes after episode. Which I'd like to do again; only one more week actually.
In the mean time, I was watching this awesome anime called Dennou Coil. Which I finished last night and made me sad and happy at the same time :<
Next, I'm going to watch something called Mouryou no Hako.

Naruto is a very popular anime, and well known. I stopped watching it though, too repetitive and boring.

I never ever liked anime at all.

When I was in the fourth grade, my best friends created a Naurto club. They'd have the cards and have the play fights and everything.

Another group of friends were friends of mine, but they were more popular and I didn't want to turn against my best friends.

Long story short, I stopped playing with both sets of friends. I tried watching Naurto to learn and fiannly play with them but I just couldn't.

I'd rather watch 20 hours of Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends and read the Hunger Games 8 times, then watch Naurto.

I wouldn't say Naruto are really good Anime's to start on; they're very popular and very hated at the same time.
My recommendation for anyone trying to get into anime, would to choose a genre they like already and watch an anime in that genre that has pleasant reviews, but isn't the most popular.

Yeah Naruto can get too repetitive but they make good games!

I recommend watching Kenichi the mightiest disciple.
