As we know, many sites have popular members who are quite influential so, it can become quite difficult to penalise them or ban them due to all of the users who they have control over however, it's generally necessary to punish them otherwise, it would set a bad example and lead to standards deteriorating.

Have you ever dealt with situations like this?

No but on nightmare forums I have seen this. The staff didn't take any action until another member along with me kept annoying them about it and I deleted my account.( I was a active/top posting member )

I'm currently in the same situation today as a lead admin on a forum which would remain anonymous said.

I have this staff member who is generally abusive, encourages piracy and is always ready for a fight who somehow convinces the admin via social engineering to overlook his antics.

This gives me a good insight on how to deal with this issue.
