It appears that scientists have discovered a planet that's similar to the Earth however, it's about 20 light years away so, that in itself would require some sort of interstellar technology which humanity currently doesn't have or placing the travellers into cyrogenic containers where they'll awaken when they arrive at the destination.

What are your thoughts on interstellar travel, ways it can be done and whether it's practical?

First of all, i don't get why we would have to use the planet, if we know why the planet is dying, why don't we fucking stop what we're doing! And try to save the damn place!

Most of the world is pretty greedy, you could say to stop what we're doing but, people wouldn't accept a diminished lifestyle in the end so, the planet becomes worse and worse as people exploit the resources to keep their lifestyle.

Due to the world population increasing and everyone wanting a good standard of living, the problem is getting worse and worse as time goes by.

The way that people lived before was more or less chopping down forests and destroying wildlife.
We've only really started protecting endangered species in modern times.

You obviously don't understand human nature then, humans are greedy so, they aren't exactly going to be going around and doing that.

They will if they want oil. This would start a WW3 and the release of Chemical weapons will be used and that is the end of the human race as we know it.

Conventional chemical weapons aren't actually that powerful and that's one reason why they targetted other types of weapons such as nuclear.
