Not sure if anyone has kids that's a member in my forum but.. it's worth a shot.

So after reading a article about kissing your kids I figured I could make this topic.

Do/did you, as a parent, ever kiss your children on the lips when they were younger? Were you kissed on the lips by your parents when you were younger and do you think it had an effect on you? If so, was it positive or negative?

I've never been kissed on the lips by my parents and I never want to. I think that's just awkward and weird. Not my thing.And if I have kids in the future I still wouldn't kiss them either.

I mean most parents, do that since their parents did it or something like that. Well, I'm Hispanic/Latino, usually we kiss on the cheek to say hello, and to show respect. My mom used to kiss me, on the lips, when I was 6-8, that's when I stopped. But she used to do that, to show love. I would hug and kiss my dad in the cheek to show respect & love.

My parents never did that to me, and if I wanted children I wouldn't do that.
Although, apparently kissing actually comes from ancient times when mothers would feed their children by chewing their food and entering it into the child by mouth feeding... So that may be how it all started.
